Who am I?

Never planned on really “publishing” anything here. I’m no one special. Just a guy raised by a family of Vets. Raised in a different time when America was different. We were free. But I was older before just how different I had been raised became apparent. My Dad and many Uncles were Vietnam Veterans. So at age 7, I was trained with pistols. Small .22 at first. Learned all the rules before I ever shot a round. If I messed up empty, we started over. So safety was installed very early. The 4 rules still apply to this day. I’m sure most here know them well. But:

1. Treat every firearm as if it’s loaded: Assume a gun is loaded, even if you believe it is unloaded. This mindset prevents accidents that can occur from confusion or negligence.

2. Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction: A “safe direction” is one where an accidental discharge will not cause injury or damage. Never point a gun at yourself or another person.

3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target: Your finger should remain straight and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to fire. A startle reflex or stumble could cause an accidental discharge if your finger is on the trigger.

4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it: Know exactly what you are shooting at and what lies behind it. Be aware that bullets and pellets can travel long distances, so a backstop is essential to prevent injury or damage to unintended targets.

It didn’t take long until I was ready for live fire. I started with rat shot or snake shot. Small shotgun like rounds that are in pistol calibers. It allowed me to find the correct grip and understand the sight picture. Not long after I moved up to standard 22 ammo. It seemed easy. And honestly it was with a heavy revolver shooting 22. Targets were old bottles and it was fun. Then onto bullseye targets. That was more important than I even knew then. The Wilson Drill, The Bullseye Drill etc. After I had proven I was mature enough to handle a pistol safely, the next step was a semi auto.

And that at that time it was the old tried and true 1911 in 45 ACP. That was a big jump as a kid. Recoil, muzzle flip, point of aim, distance, elevation and windage took time. And I was given all of the time that was needed. I had blisters on my hands. But they turned to callouses over time. Learning the grip to tame those seemed hard as I recall. But eventually, when you do something enough, it clicks. And it did.

I was also getting a steady diet of all things outdoors. Wasn’t hard. We lived on many acres of very rural land that had been in the family since my Grandfather bought it as a share cropper in the early 1900’s. Spring fed creeks, game, fish…just a playground for all things outdoors. And I was a country kid to the core.

I was also given medical training by family and their friends. One was a field medic in Vietnam. Technology has allowed for a LOT of upgraded techniques. But many of the basics like stitches, wound care, CPR and infection treatment still play a vital role. So all of that was taking place when shooting wasn’t.

We had cold winters back then with heavy snow being on the Southern tip of the Appalachian Mountains. So I camped alone many nights in snow, rain, storms…things I didn’t understand as to why until I was older. I was being trained without even knowing it. And again, I eventually got it. No questions. No problems. What I didn’t know at that young age was that my Dad and/or Uncle were less than 50 yards away keeping an eye on me. That all went away as I was passing the tests. I was solo from around 9 years old on.

Now proficient with a handgun, enough skills to stay safe, warm and as dry as needed, I was handed a Colt M4 one day. The tone was much more serious. Nothing until then had the range or ability to do damage beyond the reach of a slow and fat 45. This was another level.

Ammo was never a worry. They kept it deep. And I do the same to this very day. Again, I was raised differently. A couple of years had passed. I was 11 I believe when I got my first Colt AR. I had shot many thousands of rounds by then and had adapted and understood the range and to some degree, an accurate way to make my own adjustments as needed. Irons. Still run them on all platforms. Tech can fail. Irons won’t. Just my choice. Flip ups aren’t in the way of optics. And some I even run absolute co witness with dots, prism scopes and other illuminated reticles.

So you have to keep in mind all of this was prior to the dreaded May 19, 1986 FA mess. So yes, we had FA’s in the family. And yes, as that time came, my family followed the law to the letter and did everything right. So for that, I’m eternally grateful.

I was a teen when I started hearing the talks about the future was never certain. What our Founding Fathers had written wasn’t a suggestion but rather a guide for America. And yes, even then I was planning ahead. So in those areas, without going into detail I have a place off grid. Took almost 20 years to finish. And it’s not going to be stumbled upon and noticed.

I’m no Mike Glover, Chris Heaven, Khalid, Randy or Ryan Geho. I’m not battle hardened. I wasn’t able to serve due to a degenerative bone disease and many operations. It’s how I was born and it wasn’t God’s will. But I did try. Many of my closest friends (brothers) did serve. Some never made it home. Some did, but they never left the War behind. I’ve carried all but one that came home to their final resting place because they chose to go by their own hands. And I’m still losing them for many reasons as recent as last year.

I do NOT trust easily. But I’m not shy or afraid to say how I feel about anything. That isn’t in my DNA. It’s obvious if you met my family as to why. I was the first in my Dad’s Line to not serve in a War going back to the Civil War.

My Great Great Grandfather joined Co. G 40th Georgia infantry. The 40th Georgia was part of the famous Georgia Brigade also known as the Georgia 7,000. It was comprised of the 40th, 41st, 42nd, 43rd and 52nd infantry regiments. This brigade of 7,000 soldiers made its mark at such battles as Cumberland Gap, Tazewell, Perryville, Chickasaw Bayou, Vicksburg, Chattanooga, Rocky Face Ridge, Resaca, New Hope Church, Picketts Mill, Kolb’s Farm, Ezra Church, Peachtree Creek, Kennesaw Mountain, Atlanta, Franklin, Nashville, and Bentonville. Less than 400 of the original 7,000 survived. My Great Great Grandfather was one of the few who survived.

So my heritage of Veterans runs deep on Dad’s side alone. I was always ashamed that I couldn’t serve. Because as the recruiters said, “I was a big boy, but a broken tool in the Eyes of Uncle Sam”. Those words still cut to this day. But I’ve accepted God’s will and I move onward.

That’s about as deep as I’ll go publicly about myself. I’m private. But I do anything and everything I can to spread the word about any and all things related to terrorism and the active threats we know about. Especially the Homeland Plot.

And many others woke me up early this year. Many have helped me. Guided me. And some are now brothers. I’m not blind to what is taking place. And yes, I know a lot that simply cannot be spoken publicly. And I understand why.

But what all of us do spread publicly should be taken as fact. It’s all been vetted and revetted. A lot comes from inside certain groups and those assets are risking their lives to pass it along. And yet we’re still behind the curve. Way behind. Politics are everyone’s primary focus. And that was once me too. But I’m not blind. When the above are saying this is happening and it all makes sense, I started digging in, reading, watching and acting.

I am always aware that any attack will happen on the terrorists time, not ours. So plan accordingly. Home, mobile or if you’re lucky enough, get to your safe spot and keep it loaded and ready. Have buried caches sealed and hidden between any areas you may be able to travel. Know how to find them on a map with a compass, hand written notes and yes, even GPS although there may be a time that’s unreliable.

I encourage everyone to join and watch SDN. The amount of info they have given these past few months alone are better than Gold. Knowledge and facts, no matter how hard they may be are best kept memorized.

Anyone can make a difference. Print hard copies of Command Eleven’s Hospital assessment thread, the homeland plot and please, the ISIS Commanders image that Sarah Adams recently released. Hand them out to LEO’s, Mayors, Sheriff Departments and Hospitals.

Yes. Most will act like you’ve lost your mind. But when it hits home with one, it’s worth it all. Ink is cheap. Lives are not. We can all help spread awareness. I’d also add if you haven’t been trained in Trauma, look up Stop The Bleed. They offer online and in person classes. Navigate the menus and they will show dates and classes in your area.
